60 Charades Ideas for Kids—with Animals and Actions Wheels

Start a charades game with clues children can recognize: familiar animals and everyday actions. This list contains 30 of each, with a wheel that loads all 60 or just one category. Review the clues first and agree on a comfortable way for everyone to take part.

How to use this list

Set up a round that children can follow

Choose a small list of familiar animals or actions first. Agree whether actors may make sounds, use props or point at objects; a simple starting rule is acting without words. Give each actor roughly thirty to sixty seconds and allow one pass. A child can describe a clue, use hand movements, or work with a partner if full-body acting does not suit them.

Keep the clue hidden from the guessers

One person spins while others look away, then closes the result before acting. If you are sharing a screen, stop sharing while the actor reads the clue. This wheel has no private clue delivery or automatic timer, so the host manages those steps. Choose Animals or Actions in the template menu if you want a simpler round.

Use the result controls to keep play moving

Switch on Remove winner after each spin to remove an acted clue. Results shows what has been selected, so keep that panel away from guessers until the round ends. You can remove unfamiliar animals, add local activities, and turn off sound. For a cooperative game, count how many clues the group guesses together instead of ranking individual children.
